Overworked and understaffed - Front of House The Goat Employee Review

Awesome atmosphere and awesome coworkers

Cons

The management over-works their employees with no break unless working a double with no meals offered. They didn’t allow us to take even a 10 minute break to grab a quick bite to eat. They didn’t allow eating anything while on the clock so a couple of us were starved through our entire shift until we got off at 10pm. They have a lot of their employees working back to back doubles over multiple days straight. With some shifts ranging from 6am-10pm. Also due to poor management they have really high turnover. As soon as I started, I had multiple people warning me about the manager. They said a lot of people quit because of being mistreated and it didn’t take me long to see it.

The other part-timers I worked with were nice.

Cons

The management is terrible, constantly walking out or getting fired, so there’s no real consistency. The management is consistently rude and makes errors since they’re always freshly hired. The last manager during my time there was terrible at his job and would consistently escalate situations with customers and the servers/baristas would have to take the fall. The place is a mess.
