Pros

Awesome culture here at the grounds guys. Everyone truly cares about the other person, including the customers. Management is easy to speak to, no matter what the subject is. All staff is great to work with.

Cons

The only cons really, is that the weather can be harsh at times. The freezing cold, or the blistering heat can have an impact on you. The elements are the toughest part.

Pros

The people I worked with and my direct supervisor great to work with.

Cons

We're to start? -Owner has unrealistic expectations and if he has any will fail to tell you, untill he's giving you warnings, but will spin it like you have had long conversations on it. -Constant job underbids -Fails to effectively manage projects leaving my supervisor and myself to pick up the slack when starting a project, then get blamed for a poorly managed project at the end. - cannot disagree with him he's always right, even if he has no experience in the field -Will get blamed for problems out of your control and that need his approval before proceeding - no leadership skills, but thinks he's a good leader, he's just a boss -touts the importance of family but expects you to work longer ours, on a 50 hr work week (5-10s). - has no idea what job titles mean and the normal roles expected from them, he expects a lead to also project manage with little to no information on the scope of the project - Vague job descriptions and tasks lists On occasion the scope of the job may change right before the project and the task list will not be updated for the crews leaving us scrambling on what's supposed to be done. - bids jobs without the proper tools then expects you "to figure it out" In all honesty he's new to the trades is figuring it out, but refuses an critique or instructions on how to be better and he will set you up to fail.
