Pros
-Effortless job security -Employee diversity -Relaxed environment -Flexible/set scheduling -Easy overtime opportunity and food provided during severe seasons. -Immediate benefits and sustainable wages -Clear job direction A good place to relax and provide assistance to customers reporting accidents. Not much is expected or demanded beyond the necessity of the job. All middle-management take time to educate in their response to questions, there is no feeling of agitation, haughtiness or condiscendence. Systems, equipment and facilities are above par but not elite. Breaks/lunches are honored and proper recognition is given, as casual as it may seem. There is rarely any micro-managing. Opportunity is definitely here to advance and improve professional resume.
Cons
Middle-management aside, communication from upper management can be improved with a different outlook on their employees. The "just do your job" mentality is discouraging, albeit expected in a lower level corporate environment. If you observe closely enough, nepotism still lurks around from time to time, especially when it comes to promoting from oustide the company or just mere casual conversation. Doesn't make sense when the talent is 'right under their nose'. No cafeteria, onsite fitness center or other recreational facilities as these give competitors bragging rights.
