Pros

Benefits; coworkers are some of the nicest people in the business. The training for the roles and their technology is second to none. Great 401k. Hybrid work from home

Cons

This company went sharply downhill for a multitude of reasons starting in 2023. The constant micro-managing makes you feel watched and paranoid the entire time you’re there. In addition, management favors performers or tenured employees who know The Hartford way, despite the quality of work is borderline unethical (so much for the World’s Most Ethical Company BS). Their DEI polices segregate hard working and productive employees over diversity and they are given promotions over those metrics despite dismal KPIs. Their internal interviews for promotion are a joke as positions are predetermined. Tenured sales underwriters are leaving for much better opportunities and more pay. The Hartford’s salary structure is a complete joke for the industry despite their recent success. Nepotism galore!! Run away and do not turn back.
