Owner runs this center like a dictatorship - Lead Teacher The Learning Experience Employee Review

The owner of this center is extremely disrespectful and dishonest to staff and parents alike. He would not approve classroom supplies to be paid for by the center, several teachers would see hours shaved off of their paycheck (breaks added when no break was taken because of short staff), require us to go to meetings/trainings and instead of paying overtime because we worked more than 40 hours, he would add that time to Holiday Pay on our paycheck to avoid paying time and a half. When I was hired my contract said my PTO would accrue from March-March because that's when I was hired. When January came, he decided to make it expire then and start me over when I spent all year accruing and saving my time so I could take my vacation in February. He would not approve my PTO and said I had to use it before January. There has been a large staff turnover within the last 2 months and he has lied to parents saying the teachers are still there or leaving temporarily. Classrooms are over ratio and there are several complaints with the state made by parents. Staff and children are not safe here.
