Pros
There was a time when the company really did some exciting stuff with agile development. There used to be a lot of folks that cared deeply for the library community, and I enjoyed working with the customers.
Cons
Sadly, that time has passed. The development has stagnated and there really is nothing innovative in the pipeline that can potentially save the company in a very tough market. Also, there is an attitude amongst product owners that they know more about the needs of a library than the customers; therefore there is no need to listen to them. Employees are treated as if they have no value and there is always a thinly veiled threat of getting fired that substitutes for motivation from managment. The company hasn't given raises in several years, and promotions usually come with no (or insulting little) change to salary. Benefits are almost nonexistent, and insurance is astronomical and cost rise every year. Sales are down to dangerously low levels, and customers leaving are on the rise. Just about anyone worth any value has already jumped ship. The company appears to be in a death spiral that I am not sure they can recover from. My gut tells me it CAN'T.
