Toxic and unprofessional finance management. First day on the job I unexpectedly find that the job duties were significantly changed from what was advertised during interviews/conversations and a time-consuming, routine, lower-level task was added that would have stopped me from taking the position if I were informed during the interview process. When I had a conversation with the Controller about it, he made it very clear from his reaction that the expectation was that I just suck it up and be happy with it. Called the recruiter who was going to get to the bottom of what he agreed was not what was advertised and all communication from my boss and the CFO ceased completely. This was my second day and I was physically in the same office building! I had no guidance and a less than 30 minute general discussion with the Controller the day before. It was hands down the most awkward and unprofessional experience of my life...and I worked in fast food as a teenager.
Please beware and make sure you get an up to date job description and an agreement that they are not going to significantly deviate from that without your consent.
