Pros

While there might be opportunities at OSU for those who don't care about a quality work environment, systems that work, or leaders who are capable of solving problems, for those who want or expect those things, OSU is not the place to work.

Cons

Hostile work environment. Racist leaders (this is the opposite of what you might think). Mismatch between claims of focus and where the resources are really being applied. Customers get the shaft in many decisions.

Great work life balance and accessible management

Cons

There are not many cons to working with the university except the pay was slightly lower than other competitive wages.

Many resources available for various types of studies

Cons

Unless your PI is tapped into the research community, the resources are spread out and difficult to find. The overall support from the University to PIs is limited. Those individuals in positions of authority are more concerned with their own optics than with supporting those who need it.
