Pros

Large vibrant campus, Columbus is a great city.

Cons

Campus parking will cost 1K per year, Health care plans for faculty are poor and getting worse every year -compared to what other universities offer. It will be expensive to use and you may find yourself in situations where you are reluctant to go to ER or seek the specialist care you need as a result. University is too large, resulting in some disorganization and poor decision making at the administrative level where too many key decisions are made. Retirement savings plan is also poor in comparison to other universities. You wouldn't think so, but all things considered, it takes a significant chunk out of your bottom line and hopes you may have for an overall good quality of life. Weigh it all out very carefully when you negotiate.
