Pros
Call around in your department, if you find nothing, find another area on-campus that is close to your area of interest. There is always the little job fair and going online is a great tool. Try to get the stipend and your tuition taken care of, sweet deal.
Cons
In some areas, you won't get a lot of advice or general assistance. Since you are a grad student it's expected that you will pick up quickly.
