Pros
good hr policies for new mothers financially well run very spirited; people love OSU low cost of living in Columbus great gym and campus union, ditto new library. they do a good job removing snow great activities to attend after work, good tuition remission. President Gee lives his job and the students love him.
Cons
It's a massive organization. You can work in a large division and not really know anyone outside your department. Unusual jobs are created for people - either to slowly push them out, or to keep them at the institution so they don't leave. A bit corporate in the Executive side of the house, wasted millions on a "culture changing" seminar/retreat which yielded little except some books for kids and emails that are deleted.
