Pros
HR was great; took a couple of weeks to get back to me but just be persistent. I was with a 3/4 nurse managers and they have you rotate. The managers typically get back with you in a day or two; if they really want you that day. Then you shadow to see which floors you like best . Managers of the 6 floors that I shadowed on were FABULOUS, and I can say that EVERYONE THAT WORKS HERE ARE WONDERFUL PEOPLE. It is truly a teaching hospital. As a new grad it’s intimidating but everyone makes you feel the best and know that you can do it !
Cons
Pay for parking because of the union, HR taking 3-4 weeks for getting back to know if you’re goin to be in the residency program or not. Also, there’s this constant battle between OSU West vs. OSU East. Like one is better than the other. Heck I’m just grateful to get a job at one of the best hospitals in the country and have free tuition. But it’s to each persons discretion.
