The union are great people. My co-workers are great people...for the most part.
Cons
Management is so callous...they target you and write you up for petty things. Don't bother getting sick or even thinking that you can spend time with your family! The Rapid owns your soul. They work you from 8-16 hours a day with NO BREAKS. Of course if you take a bite of something you get suspended without pay for a week. The CEO makes over $206,000 a year while the drivers are struggling to get by. They raised our health insurance to astronomical levels...$800/month for a family! The company is trying to take the driver's pensions and our overtime. We haven't had a contract between the union and the company for almost 3 years! In that time nobody received their promised raises...but Peter Varga, the CEO, has gotten several raises! All this while dealing with the public who treat you like trash. Not to mention the fact that you will definitely suffer physical ailments directly related to the job. Diabetes, obesity, back problems, rotator cuff injury, constant stress, physical assault, verbal abuse and more
