Pros

*Constant support from multiple departments. *Ability to be promoted without having to relocate or be on the road all the time due to them owning multiple properties in the same market. *The culture is amazing. *Multiple touchpoints with different summits and training throughout the year. I have worked for 2 different companies in not only the student housing industry, but real estate as a whole. I can say with absolute certainty that The Scion Group is leaps and bounds above anyone in this space. The culture is very entrepreneurial in spirit and they strive to be the best. The growth of the company is a true reflection of the success the company has had, all while continuing to improve operational platforms and streamlining workflows. Student housing as a whole sees a lot of people bouncing around from company to company, but with The Scion Group, you see people staying around - that's not a coincidence. They are really building career paths for the team and I'm so excited that I made the decision to come and work for them!

Cons

No downsides to working here - only positive comments!

Prefer in office rather than hybrid or remote, benefits tiered more to young single employees than for experienced or longer career employees.

Pros

Competitive bonus compensation Good benefits package Good comradery with fellow GM/PM's

Cons

Zero upwards accountability for management past the site level Horrific HR department that makes it impossible to hold reports accountable Favoritism is rampant and will destroy jobs Claims a culture of "Go-Getters" when in reality they say this to abuse your work-life balance to the highest degree COO is completely out of touch with his workforce and makes changes off of vibes
