Some of the management was openly discriminatory (racist and misogynistic) and this went unchecked even after several HR reports. Staff experience during my time seemed dictated by how attracted to you the manager was. Some of this stuff was really nasty and overt. Just an example: girls on staff would avoid wearing sandals in front of management to avoid creepy comments about "pretty feet".
There are many other things as well - i'd say this is not reflective of the company rather than of individual people, but the company's unwillingness to do anything about it after multiple HR reports makes them complicit.
