Do NOT trust the positive reviews.

Cons

Avoid The Standard at all costs. Some managers are moody and take their emotions out on employees, and as a result are more interested in finding a way to fire their employees than taking the time to develop them. If you don't agree with your manager (even if the manager is bending and breaking laws… don't expect help from higher ups or HR. This is a place that you will regret working for

During my time at The Standard, I have not been notified that a Manager on my team behaved in the way you expressed. Good company with generally good leadership. Good salaries and benefits.

Cons

Company is going through growing pains with recent acquisitions. What made the company unique and close is now a thing of the past. New processes are rolled out with an expectation of efficiencies and savings but they don't match the reality.
