Pros

High sales numbers look good to future employers bc they know you have to work hard since the industry is dying.

Cons

They don't take care of their employees. They expect you to eat. live and breathe their company.

Pros

Do to Gannett cutting local journalism as much as it possibly can, the newsroom was stretched thin, meaning I got to do impressive assignments that should have gone to more senior staff if such existed. The Tennessean is the best newspaper in Nashville and will propel you to better future gigs. Use this as a stepping stone.

Cons

The pay is insulting and you will be overworked.
