Pros
The tile shop for the most part sells a high quality product and a higher price than their competitors but that is apples to oranges. They have the best displays, the best showrooms, and the customers usually get the best customer service.
Cons
Compensation is poor and is straight commission, you not only have to sell but then you have to make sure your orders are correct in the warehouse and do warehouse duties, and you need to make sure everyday that your customer that you helped didn't get stolen by a fellow associate at your own store or at another store. Stores are so close together that customers go back and forth trying to get the best deal. Store managers make commission on sales too so they steal your deal as well. It is a thankless job, you could work your absolute hardest and be amazing and no one cares. Upper management not only fails to do their job but they also gossip about everyone in the company, so keep anything personal to yourself even if you get the"whatever you say stays between us speech" Sexual harassment is commonplace so not too many women work there. It is basically the worst company I have ever worked for and ever seen. My only hope is that they have a firesale and start over in the DFW, because if not the shareholders are at risk for a major lawsuit.
