Pros

Work with some cool people. However, it ends there...Great for about 6 weeks, and THEN....

Cons

After 6 weeks, you get hit with 100% commission and an opportunity to go into subsidy, which isn't bad, you get a $1000 every 2 WEEKS draw. THEN GUESS WHAT. If you don't hit a certain number in sales, YOU CAN ACTUALLY OWE THE COMPANY MONEY BACK! I got sick once and had to take off a few days and ended up OWING the Tile Shop $500!!! It get's better...so during the two weeks that you went in the hole and owe them $500, you had to clean the store, load out your own tiles for the customers (heavy and dirty work), sweep the floors, clean the bathrooms, take out the trash, clean the windows, keep your assigned area clean and neat, clean the breakroom, check stock for other stores, work every single Saturday, ALL WHILE WEARING A SILLY TIE AND A NICE SHIRT AND THEY HAVE THE GALL TO TELL YOU THAT YOU OWE THEM MONEY???? Yeah, your time and dedication mean absolutely nothing, nice going Tile Shop. I was actually one of the Top Sellers, until I owed them money and thought about how I busted my rump for the two weeks for the company, and I owed THEM money? No thanks. Stay away, folks, stay far away, this is not how you treat people. At the very least, they should hire a cleaning service and a warehouse guy if they are going to have you owe them money. This is worse than slavery. If you need a check, sure, you can't go in subsidy for the first 6 weeks, so get hired on while you are still looking for a job, get a few paychecks, and then get the heck out of dodge!

Pros

There's a system to follow and it's an open ceiling to how much you can make.

Cons

The only con I came across over the years, is candidates lying on their resume's and wasn't willing to be coachable because they thought they knew everything.

Pros

Some of the floor staff are great people to work with.

Cons

The core issue here is a management culture that has completely decayed. It is an "old school" environment in the worst way possible—rigid, out of touch, and fueled by greed. There are blatant double standards where leadership expects total flexibility and "hustle" from staff, but offers zero support or fair treatment in return. The focus is entirely on the bottom line at the expense of employee morale. It feels like the company is stuck in a bygone era, refusing to modernize its approach to work-life balance or fair compensation. Career growth feels stagnant unless you fit into their specific "inner circle."
