Unfair pay I was paid $8/hour to be a shift close I would regularly be there 12 hours a day I was in charge of managing employees while also making drinks for the entire restaurant and taking a full bar of guests AND TABLES.
one of the kitchen staff was found tragically dead in the basement of the south side location the owner told staff to continue serving guests while the body was still downstairs…
One time there was sewage running through the restaurant due to a plumbing issue the owner had us stay open
Matt has no bartending experience and puts a ridiculous amount of specialty cocktails and garnishes on drinks including using dry ice without safely anchoring it in the drink/warning guests if you know anything about dry ice you know this is really dangerous!!
Had us all fill out 1099’s and we were taxed as contract workers even tho we were not being treated as such I have not worked there for 3 years and I have not received a tax return in as many years because I am STILL paying off the taxes I owe
Don’t even need to get into all the health code violations to the point where the staff thought seeing roaches run around was just normal
Oh not to mention the owners dad is a raging conservative trump supporter who would come in every morning with a slew of racial commentary
