Pros

If you are looking for a job that will give you a great balance between work and personal time and that ensures job security, Washington Post is the place to be. It's got an incredibly relaxed environment, people are super friendly, management is very accessible, very little, if any, overtime, and it's definitely a place that people get comfortable in (and stay forever).

Cons

If you're young, talented, aggressive and like a quick speed, this is NOT the place to be. Extremely bureaucratic, very little room for advancement, no bonus structure for many employees, change happens at a snail's pace, and they do NOT know how to take advantage of talent when they see it. There's no social environment - people are very friendly but there are no happy hours, no events, nothing like that. If you're older and don't really care about this stuff, then sure it's great. But if you're younger and talented- STAY AWAY!

Pros

Hard working colleagues, at times.

Cons

I found a lot of people I worked with were just racking up sinecures they felt they had earned. Lots of laziness.
