Pros

I had a series of great managers at The Post – my managers cared about my wellbeing, cared about my growth, and encouraged me to be open. I loved being at a company whose mission I aligned with, and I felt like the community was collaborative and shared that belief.

Cons

Being at a large news organization is a lot better than being at a small one, and while The Post isn't insulated from the financial turmoil of the industry it's also a lot better off; still, the pressures of a badly frayed business model have led to a persistent feeling of being behind the eight-ball, which is never an environment in which it's easy to make the best possible decisions.

Pros

Hard working colleagues, at times.

Cons

I found a lot of people I worked with were just racking up sinecures they felt they had earned. Lots of laziness.
