Pros
I've never worked for a company that took my feedback to heart the way HCA does. For instance, when I shared that adding a specific health insurance plan would be better for me and my family, HR added it. When I expressed interest in attending a national conference, the company paid for my attendance and allowed me to present my experience to my colleagues. I receive an annual review with opportunities to work on the things I most enjoy and there is a constant emphasis on doing things better and taking the lead on changing the home care space.
Cons
Because the leadership of the company is relatively young many of whom do not have children I sometimes feel guilty and outside the norm for leaving early to be with my family. Nobody has ever said anything about this but the culture is very much a silicon valley startup culture and I often feel I might be missing out on advancement opportunities because of trying to maintain a balanced schedule.
