Cons

This place will lead to a decline in your health in every possible way - they prey upon fresh college graduates with no work experience. Take it from me, who was ranked #1 on the company’s leaderboard during my first 6 months, that this place is screwed up. You do not get overtime and they claim thst getting a bonus can account for you working late every single day of the week and on holidays, but these bonuses are dependent on luck because your performance is dependent on luck - your monthly targets have nothing to do with your competency and effort. Everything comes down to luck - whether your client has availability to meet with an expert, whether the expert has availability to meet with your client, whether the expert is willing to negotiate their consulting rate so that your performance is not penalized for an expensive call, whether an expert is telling the truth and is truly knowledgeable about your client’s subject — it all comes down to luck. It’s truly a foolish and toxic business model. I also observed no black or brown people in senior leadership. My former colleague, a black woman, applied for a transfer from consulting to sales after putting in 4 years of dedication in consulting, only to be told that she was “too experienced” and it would be too difficult for them to train her for a position in a new department — she found a new job two weeks later with a real research company. This company doesn’t promote black and brown people to go beyond senior associate, instead, they nitpick the work and value of having black and brown people in a way that they would never dare to do to white male counterparts who are underperforming. I also had a team member who would never eat throughout the work day, not even at socials after work, because she was abusing adderall to reach her monthly targets. However, she was praised and deemed a role model - eventually I saw the younger employees on my team who looked up to her start abusing adderall too.

Thank you for your review. We take the concerns you’ve raised very seriously, and we appreciate the opportunity to address them. We are deeply concerned with the claims regarding prescription medication abuse and unequivocally do not condone the misuse of prescription medication under any circumstances. Prompt action to investigate and address this matter appropriately would have been taken if it had been reported. We have several channels for employees to report such serious matters, including a person’s direct manager, senior leaders, the Professional Conduct and Ethics team, the HR team, or through our confidential Ethics Hotline. On the topic of senior leadership diversity, we recognise that this is an area where we can improve. We are deeply committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees have equal opportunities for growth and success. Internal mobility is at the top of our agenda and we pride ourselves on a fair and meritocratic interview process for internal vacancies. These values guide our hiring and promotion practices. We do primarily hire individuals who have recently graduated from college and focus on identifying candidates who demonstrate competitiveness, strong motivation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. We have an in-depth training program for our new joiners that equips them with the tools and skills to succeed in the role. We also provide performance development plans to discuss performance and challenges. We seek employee volunteers to work on public holidays to meet client needs and they are given a day off in lieu in return, ensuring they receive the same amount of time off as their colleagues. We appreciate your honesty and hope this response provides some clarity around the concerns you’ve shared.

Pros

Good entry-level opportunity with exposure to fast-paced, client-facing work. The company hires driven, sociable individuals and can be a strong starting point for building communication, prioritization, and execution skills in a high-performance environment.

Cons

High turnover and inconsistent management quality significantly impact the employee experience. Success is heavily dependent on your team lead and manager, with limited recourse if you’re placed under ineffective leadership. In my experience, poor communication, lack of emotional intelligence, and unclear expectations from management made it difficult to succeed and negatively affected day-to-day productivity. Internal processes around performance management and PTO lacked transparency. I was placed on a PIP and terminated shortly after (within a week) in a way that felt abrupt and not aligned with prior communication, which was initially framed as a discussion around pending PTO. There were also delays in PTO approvals, and I experienced issues with compensation adjustments following a promotion that required follow-up to resolve.
