Pros
First and foremost, I work with the smartest and coolest people I've ever met. That's across the company, from leadership to my team and to our part-time contractors: genuinely superb folks, across the board. Secondly, we collectively make a product we are proud of and that has a profound impact. I'm honoured to be part of a company that has helped leaders make real change for hundreds of thousands of students and stakeholders. Finally, the flexibility is key. I work remotely with the option to go into a bricks-and-mortar office. We are all encouraged to balance work time with our personal lives, so for example I can start early to make afternoon daycare pickup possible.
Cons
We are all so committed to the company and our mission that we can be in danger of burnout. It's something we are increasingly mindful of and are starting to proactively support each other on.
