Pros

ThoughtSpot has been an exceedingly satisfying place of work for me - the organization is extremely open (I have the opportunity to engage meaningfully with people throughout the organization - including executives/co-founders), it is meritocratic and open to role diversity - I've worked with Marketing, Engineering, Sales and with customers, and I am not alone.

Cons

The only con that occurs to me is that HQ is in Palo Alto when I would prefer San Francisco - commute is not ideal but you get used to it

Cons

As with any startup, there is a lot to do!! However, we have challenging and exciting opportunities to help customer solve their problems

Hearing this from someone in Finance, where the work is demanding and the margin for error is small, genuinely means a lot. The fact that you're experiencing the culture as values-driven and not just values-stated is exactly what we're working hard to build. The pace is real and so is the opportunity, and we're glad that combination is landing as energizing rather than exhausting. Thanks for taking the time to share this.

Really glad the work-life balance and the technical team are working well for you — those are things we actively invest in and it's good to hear the signal is positive. On management direction: we hear you, and it's feedback we take seriously. We're in a phase of focused growth, and we know that can sometimes create ambiguity at the team level. We're working to tighten that alignment. If there's something specific that felt unclear, we'd genuinely welcome the conversation — reach out to people@thoughtspot.com.
