Pros

- Good salary in Recife in all roles and levels - Snacks (fruits, crackers, cookies) available for free - Strong collaborative culture - Good technical and consultant challenges - Few travels (that will depend on the client. In the last 5 years I have travelled once (for a month) every year. - Video game available (provided by the employees, the company just allows it to be used in its infrastructure) - Flexible hours (some days of home office are allowed) - Every employee has a company coach. - A employee can be a coach. - Junior consultant goes to India for 5 week training. - You have a lot of independence and autonomy

Cons

- Can be very stressful for new comers due to the amount of new things that one might need to learn - If one say yes to every possible thing that appear in their calendar, that person won't have a life anymore. You are the one that need to deny certain events and meetings. - Employees with few or no experience might think that the outside world has the same culture as TW and therefore will complain about a lot of thing that might happen without knowing that other companies do a lot worse. Eg: those employees start to think that the company needs to put them in a specific project with specific tech, otherwise they don't want to go to that project. - Too much independence and autonomy without teaching how to deal with that independence and therefore people start to believe that they can literally to anything.

Pros

I've had a great experience building my career at Thoughtworks. One of the things that stands out most is the culture. It's collaborative, supportive, and filled with people who genuinely want to help each other succeed. Thoughtworks has also provided me with meaningful opportunities for career growth. I've been encouraged to take on new challenges, develop new skills, and explore different career paths. Leaders have been approachable and supportive, and I've always felt empowered to own my development rather than being confined to a single role. Like any organization, we’ve had our ups and downs. But the people and the commitment to continuous learning have remained consistent strengths. If you're looking for a place where you can grow professionally, work with smart and passionate people, and be part of a culture that values collaboration and innovation, Thoughtworks is a great place to build your career.

Cons

None that I can think of right now.

Pros

Great culture, very laid back and as long as you show up and get your work done you are meeting expectations

Cons

Very difficult to get any salary increases or promotions. Lived in fear of layoffs bc there were often not a lot of projects so I was often on the bench for months at a time
