Pros

Weekends off. (If your work is done)

Cons

Went from a family run business with a certain "culture" that was like working for a small business where everyone knew everyone's name and you were proud to work there. Now it has become manager heavy, with sales reps selling whatever job they can talk the customer into, even if the job is sold incorrectly. This put a lot of stress on crews. Aside from sales being along way from "challenging the status quo", the managers would tell us never to remove a product that's scheduled to be installed, even if the customer didn't need it, just so the company would make more money. The pay was not even close to what the amount of work they expected you to do in the amount of time you were given, and any "bonus" you may receive was. Normally in your 2 week check, which they removed and if* you keep your customer satisfaction rating above a certain % throughout the year, you may receive the bonus. When I left they were cutting costs on everything and trying to pocket as much money as they could to pay for future endeavors that they are over their head in.

Thank you for your feedback. We are committed to creating an open, transparent and collaborative environment for all our employees, so I’m disappointed you felt that you had a negative experience while working alongside us. I value open and honest feedback and continually look for ways to improve, however I would like to address a few of the specific statements you listed. We work hard to hire employees who work with integrity and do what is best for each of our customers. This is why we are a three time winner of the BBB Integrity Awards and continue to get customer reviews that earn us Angie’s List Service Awards and A+ Ratings. We always have room for improvement, but I believe in our employees and that they have the best interest of our customers in mind. As the landscape of our industry continues to evolve, so do we. The customer experience is our top priority, which is one of the key reasons why we initiated an incentive program that directly correlates with customer satisfaction. Our compensation is very competitive, if not higher than many of the other organizations in our area and we want to reward those that provide a consistent WOW experience to our customers. While I wish I still had the opportunity to get to know each employee as closely as I did when we were much smaller; as we grow that unfortunately is just not feasible. While I know we’re not perfect and have made bad decisions in the past, I believe in our leaders and team members. Each of us work hard every day to ensure we provide the best customer experiences we can and to provide a culture that our employees are proud to be a part of. Again, I do value your feedback and am disappointed you felt that your time with us was negative. I thank you for the work you did while you were with us and wish you the best.

Pros

I’ve been with Thrasher for two years, and this company genuinely takes care of its team. This week is a perfect example. My wife is 9 months pregnant and we are planning a home delivery, so she could go into labor at any time. Normally my sales appointments can take me over an hour from home. But this week, the team adjusted my schedule so I would stay closer to home, and they even gave me the ability to help decide how my calendar was filled. That level of trust and support means a lot, especially in a sales role. It shows that the company values people, not just numbers. Leadership is responsive, understanding, and willing to step in when life happens.

Cons

The biggest challenge is drive time. It is not unusual to have an 8 AM appointment 90 minutes from home, then drive another 90 minutes to a second appointment that is also far from home. That can add up to around 4 to 5 hours of driving in a single day, and it can happen at least once a week, sometimes more.

We’re grateful to hear that you’ve felt supported at Thrasher, especially during such an important time for you and your family. Flexibility and trust are values we work hard to uphold, and we’re glad that came through in your experience. We also appreciate your honest feedback around drive time and route density. Improving scheduling efficiency is an ongoing focus, and insights like yours help reinforce where it matters most. Thank you for being part of the team and for helping us continue to grow. -The Thrasher Team

Pros

Work hours are good with weekends off.

Cons

You are out a lot of money up front. You would need at least three months saved up before you start. Also it's hard to track your commissions. When you leave you will not get paid on anything that you sold if it installs after you leave. That's right they keep your money!!! Only a few people are making the money they talk about.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you valued the consistent schedule and weekends off. We want to clarify that our compensation structure is designed to reward performance, and we continuously work to improve how clearly commissions, timelines, and expectations are communicated from day one. We recognize that the ramp-up period can feel challenging, and we’re focused on strengthening support and transparency throughout that process. We also take concerns about team support seriously and are actively working to ensure every employee feels guided and set up for success. We appreciate your input and wish you the best moving forward.
