I have never left a negative review on Glassdoor before, but I felt like this needed to be said for those thinking of working here so you know what to expect. I worked here for a year and half. The first 6 months here I told myself I could do this long term. Loved the job as it was very fulfilling. Great work life balance. Then something changed with management around March or April of 2023. 1. They switched to a completely new software system in the summer of 2023 that wasn't remotely ready to go live. It was a train wreck and a horrible experience for not only me as an employee, but the customers. I had multiple customers installs not get installed on promised dates and got missed because the software didn't work. In return, we gave major discounts to multiple of these customers to reschedule, which took away from my earnings (full commission). Even though it was on the company and not me as a salesperson. It took literally 5 months for this company to tell me what my weekly sales numbers were as well as the overall companies’ sales numbers. Tell me another company a sales professional would work for where they couldn't tell you what you sold the previous week, for 5-6 months. 2. They turned to a sales process that turns you into a robot. You do not have an option in regards to using it or not. If you do not follow this sales process during a ride along from management, you will be fired "on site.” 3. They also pushed their weekly sales goal up by 40% this year. When asked what the reasoning was behind the new goals, they said "because we know more is possible." So, no pricing or any other real factors reflect why they went up, other than "we know you can sell more." If you miss this new weekly sales goal more than 2 or 3 weeks, they will put you on a PIP plan and require more training on the sales process (because they think its fail proof) and give you only 3 appointments per week until you prove you’re doing better and hit the sales goal again. As if they don't understand that in sales you can have a killer month or two followed by a slower month. That's just life in sales. 4. They raised the mileage to .68 per mile this year, but they didn't raise the cap ($10,000). Therefore, you will just burn through your mileage at an even faster rate. I drove my own personal car from mid-October 2023 to the end of 2023 ON MY OWN DIME. Thousands of miles on my own dime and gas money. They switched to an AI scheduling system that doesn't use common sense scheduling. On "local" weeks, I would be driving 5-6 hours per day. Appointments would be hours from each other. This resulted in burning through all $10,000 of mileage in 9 months of the year. 5. In the winter months when appointments are slow, you are expected to be in the office training full time whenever you are not running sales appointments. Even though you are a full commission employee, and you don't get paid a dime to be in the office training. You're required to do it. So, you essentially must drive to the office to practice every day for free on your own dime. We were forced to sign a sheet of paper saying we would do so. You will also be forced to go to extra and extensive training in Omaha for multiple days unpaid. 6. Management has taken a nosedive. The management here is extremely condescending and talks down to everyone. Horribly unprofessional. It’s their way or the highway. They expect you to take constructive criticism, but if you try to give them constructive criticism, it won’t go well. You are only a number here. I was a top 10 rep for 2023 and have 2 awards for it hanging on my wall. Yet, this is how I was treated as a top 10 rep in the company. 8. Every person that I worked with when I started, is now gone. The entire installation team, sales team, and management team, in 1.5 years, 100% turnover rate. In the 1.5 years here, I had 3 different sales managers. There is a max exodus happening at this company right now. Stay away!
