Pros

Working as a member of the support staff team allowed for excellent networking. Additionally, Thrasher proved to be invested in their employees' growth through their GROW program. They have a kitchen and chef on campus, and the installers are generally friendly people.

Cons

Work life at the HQ (Papillion) office was subpar at best. While there are ample amount of managers who care about their employees, there some questionable individuals in leadership positions that do not treat other people kindly. The term "support staff" is broad and covers the entire second floor regardless of department; however, the commonality each department shares is a lack of accountability for childish, rude, and discriminatory behaviors. If you're good at your job, any bullying behavior you exhibit will be overlooked. If you speak up, you will be made to feel small and childish. You will be gaslit into believing that you are taking things to heart, regardless of circumstance or context. Support staff are not subject to random drug testing, and the "water cooler" talk makes it evident that this process should be implemented. There were a few people I was uncomfortable being around based on conversations I had overheard straight from the horse's mouth. I was threatened with professional ruin when speaking up regarding several instances, and was horrified to essentially be told to put up with bad behavior because "we must collaborate professionally." While I agree with this sentiment, collaborating professionally does not mean tolerating bullies who believe themselves to be God's gift to this planet- or, at the very least, this organization. Overall, this work experience was stimulating and rewarding, but the "people" experience left me emotionally exhausted and extremely depressed. Thrasher preaches an amazing work culture that they joke about being "cult-ish," but they simply do not follow through with holding their people accountable regarding their treatment of others. I saw this in several departments and, since leaving Thrasher, have flourished professionally in ways I would never have been able to in the toxic environment that flourished within their cubicles.

Pros

I’ve been with Thrasher for two years, and this company genuinely takes care of its team. This week is a perfect example. My wife is 9 months pregnant and we are planning a home delivery, so she could go into labor at any time. Normally my sales appointments can take me over an hour from home. But this week, the team adjusted my schedule so I would stay closer to home, and they even gave me the ability to help decide how my calendar was filled. That level of trust and support means a lot, especially in a sales role. It shows that the company values people, not just numbers. Leadership is responsive, understanding, and willing to step in when life happens.

Cons

The biggest challenge is drive time. It is not unusual to have an 8 AM appointment 90 minutes from home, then drive another 90 minutes to a second appointment that is also far from home. That can add up to around 4 to 5 hours of driving in a single day, and it can happen at least once a week, sometimes more.

Pros

Work hours are good with weekends off.

Cons

You are out a lot of money up front. You would need at least three months saved up before you start. Also it's hard to track your commissions. When you leave you will not get paid on anything that you sold if it installs after you leave. That's right they keep your money!!! Only a few people are making the money they talk about.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you valued the consistent schedule and weekends off. We want to clarify that our compensation structure is designed to reward performance, and we continuously work to improve how clearly commissions, timelines, and expectations are communicated from day one. We recognize that the ramp-up period can feel challenging, and we’re focused on strengthening support and transparency throughout that process. We also take concerns about team support seriously and are actively working to ensure every employee feels guided and set up for success. We appreciate your input and wish you the best moving forward.
