Treats employees well. Good technology.

Cons

If you are working in the US and have to coordinate with others in Asia, there are fundamental challenges. Remote work with big timezone differences is tough to deal with. Also there will be some language barriers if you don't know Mandarin. Written Chinese is less of an issue because English is often used, and Chinese is mostly translated or automatically translatable.

Strong product engineering, AI enablement, partners and strong customer logos.

Cons

Leadership is inexperienced and depend on reputation and titles. TiDB (PingCAP) endeavors to fit into the N.A. market with a Sunnyvale address but its leadership are all slotted from its origins. Structure is typical of Chinese engineering led companies which limits its success in a period of needs to transition to selling and marketing.
