Pros
When I first started here over 10 years ago it was a total family atmosphere and everyone was extremely close. Pay is fair market for the area. The benefits are good but have been copays are creeping up slowly over the years! Have a good wellness program. Will never have a problem getting your hours, because we are always short staffed somewhere thanks to flex pool being eliminated. No worry of company going under since they are using all there money to buy new building instead of rewarding staff.
Cons
Teamwork is out the window. They required nurses to go get their BSN degrees without giving any increase in salary for it and then told them it wasn't required after some started school. Administration doesn't spend enough time evaluating why employees are leaving (why certain floors are having mass exits). It's like they don't care to retain experience over new grads that put their patients lives in jeopardy until there happens to be a centennial event occur. Too Much To List, mainly all about admin./management being so greedy that they deprive the units and people actually rendering customer service the stuff they need. Thought they would reward staff by making hard cover books (that probably cost a fortune and everyone threw away or left laying around when they could have added money to gift cards).
