Pros

The companies benefits are amazing. PTO and sick time, day off for birthday, paid holidays. The people on the floor are amazing and they are what make that company worth working for. The CEO has done an amazing job taking this company to where it currently is.

Cons

Upper management is clueless. The visitor center is an after thought and it shows. They are unable to hire qualified people and settle for the 10th candidate after they are turned down by all of their other options. They do not understand their business and have no idea the demographic that actually attends. The visitor center is at the mercy of marketing putting it at odds with running a fluid business. There are so many people hoops and levels of approval to get the most simple items approved. The working environment is horrible and borderline hostile. Everyone is looking to sabotage the others to get ahead, they preach team work but this place is truly every person for themselves. I have never worked anywhere with so much aggression towards peers and subordinates. People who shouldn’t be there are there because of family in high places and the entrenched problems of the staff working in fear of certain people will never be resolved. I have never worked for someone who spends so much time actively ignoring everything the employees say, then asks you ten minutes later to reexplain everything. This place also finds favorite people and if you are not in that group expect to be out of a job quickly. Honestly just stay away. If you come from a proper business and company, you will walk out in under a year. This place is so disorganized. They preach these core values but they are all lip service. Unless you want your soul to die stay away. Also, this place violates so many labor laws it’s unvelievable that they haven’t been fined or investigated.

Pros

- Leadership saw many of the inefficiencies and system gaps — there was genuine interest in improving things, even if the follow-through was slower than needed. - My manager was supportive, appreciative, and relied on me in meaningful ways. - The people were kind, hardworking, and sincerely cared about doing things well. - I always felt included and respected, even as a contractor.

Cons

- Even though problems were recognized, I wasn’t given the go-ahead to actually implement new systems or resolve the inefficiencies affecting the team. - Management was waiting for larger organizational clarity about the future direction and function of this department, and during that waiting period the team’s day-to-day experience suffered. - Most requests came in through email with no centralized system, which made it difficult to track, prioritize, or delegate work effectively. - Documentation was inconsistent or missing, so knowledge often lived in people’s heads rather than in shared processes. - The delay in addressing long-standing operational issues contributed to burnout and turnover.
