Pros

Sick Pay PTO Easily promoted (okay for resume, but lack of training for positions)

Cons

Confusing training, no store does it the same and you are told you are wrong anytime someone knew comes in, which is often- High turnover rate Low wages (barely get raises, even when promoted) Corporate and CEO seemed to relaxed during peak seasons Untrained store managers and assistant managers Very high standards (unreasonable considering how little the pay is, told you just have to "love Tilly's"- loving a company doesn't pay rent) Toxic work environments that are never handled accordingly, always brushed aside (write ups that never go anywhere) HR will do anything to protect a Store/Assistant, even regarding harassment cases Schedule changes the night (as late as 3am) before your shift, expected to adjust Horrible work-life balance (ties into the sudden schedule shifts) Racism rampant

Lovely work environment, great staff

Cons

Busy back to school season, although that's entirely to be expected. Never had a bad experience

Pros

- Enjoyed working with teens/young adults and building them up into the workforce/ teaching them responsibilities -Policies were awesome, but not always backed by upper management - Always pushing you to be better

Cons

- Upper management did not have equal expectations of stores/ lacked clear communication -PAY, they will pay someone who is hired external far more then they ever will an internal. Doesn’t matter how long you’re there. I was trained from a seasonal, all the way up and made far less than newer peers. They do not see as much value in internals which is so unfortunate for them. Did my 8 years and have a lot of resentment over this.
