Pros

Working here will give you knowledge as to what to avoid at all costs during your next job search.

Cons

This company exists to inflate the CEOs ego, and his bank account. That's it. Don't be fooled by the noble mission, it's a convenient trick to get well meaning folks to apply and start working there. However, as most people learn, your entire workload depends on the whim of the CEO and whatever grand idea pops into his head that day. If you ask questions, you will be penalized. If you aren't working around the clock, you will be penalized. If you dare attempt to take advantage of the "unlimited" PTO, you will be penalized. If you do anything except cater to the whims of king Joffrey - oops, I mean the CEO - you will be miserable. In fact, simply catering to his whims isn't actually enough, you have to be actively groveling and inflating his ego publicly for all to see.. and that MIGHT be enough to allow you to fly under the radar and avoid losing your job. The pay is subpar, the benefits are non-existent, and priorities are shifting too much for anyone to actually do any meaningful work. Not to mention ever letter you type and every click of your mouse is tracked, and will be used against you. Surveillance and fear is the culture at TimelyCare. As others have pointed out, pretty ironic for a company that is allegedly centered around improving mental health. Also the five star reviews are fake, the person at TimelyCare who writes them told me as much. It should be obvious if you read them, but in case there were any doubts (probably not many, but apparently the leadership there seems to think they're fooling some). Times are tough and people are desperate for jobs, but this isn't it. Keep looking.

TimelyCare Response

We hear the frustration reflected in this perspective, even though it does not align with how we operate as an organization. In response to employee feedback, TimelyCare made a deliberate decision to eliminate the use of productivity monitoring software and have incorporated employee wide forums with our CEO. Our 5-star reviews are not fabricated, we welcome all feedback. Feedback is read by a dedicated team, escalated when appropriate, and responded to individually. TimelyCare offers a comprehensive and highly rated benefits package. Including health coverage, retirement, and work life balance options. TimelyCare’s work is important, and the expectations we place on our teams reflect the responsibility we carry in serving students and campus communities. At times, especially during periods of growth and change, that can create a demanding environment. Our responsibility as leaders is to ensure that urgency is matched with clarity, strong support, and a workplace where people can do meaningful work and continue to grow.

Pros

Talented, hardworking, and collaborative team members who are supportive of one another and committed to doing strong work. Being fully remote allows for flexibility.

Cons

Leadership is primarily focused on profit and appearances, not people. Employees are not respected—priorities constantly shift and there is little regard for employees’ time or workload. The organization lacks alignment. Teams are siloed. It is unnecessarily difficult to get work done. Feedback is ignored. Transparency is minimal. People are let go or reassigned with little to no communication, which creates a culture of uncertainty and distrust. Favoritism is noticeable and impacts how employees are treated and evaluated. Workloads increase with no additional resources. Expectations are unclear and change frequently. Customers are moved between service levels and changes are made that negatively impact them without proper communication, leaving frontline employees to fix the confusion and frustration without support. Leadership talks about trust but does not demonstrate it. There is a clear disconnect between what is said and what actually happens. Overall, the environment is chaotic, disorganized, and reactive. It feels like there is no real plan, and employees are left to figure things out on their own. This is not a stable or supportive place to work.

Our people are a core strength of TimelyCare, and the work they do matters and is very much appreciated. We are committed to creating an environment where employees feel supported, respected, and able to do their best work. We are listening to feedback and building more structured, scalable ways of working so that navigating a fast-paced environment is more clear, consistent, and effective. Financial health is necessary to carry out our important work. Our mission to foster student success and improve the health and well-being of campus communities requires strong alignment, accountability, and trust in how we operate day to day, and we are continuing to invest in our people and leaders to strengthen that experience across the organization.
