Pros

As so many posts have already said, this company lucked into many incredible employees who persist despite the toxic culture because they care deeply about student mental and physical health. That and being able to work remotely are the only pros.

Cons

-Sadly all prior negative reviews are 100% accurate -- TimelyCare is a place where C suite leaders are short-sighted, selfish, inappropriate, and INEXPERIENCED. These leaders genuinely don't know how to run a business, which is why they pivot every second, don't notice that most of the VPs do nothing, and engage in toxic positivity to pretend the company's consistent failure are wins. -HR does not do their job, likely because they too don't know how. They do not follow up on concerns brought to them, have performance reviews asking you if you feel supported by your manager that only get seen by said manager, say only C suite needs 360 reviews, and don't have growth ladders for clear promotion opportunities or employee resource groups because those things "are not necessary here". -This is the kind of company where the head of HR, the Chief Strategy Officer, and the CEO yell at people the way I wouldn't even yell at my children because the culture allows them to do whatever they want. Employee turns means nothing to them. -This is the kind of company where the CEO bullies and yells at anyone who questions him, threatening at All Hands meetings that "passive passengers will not be tolerated", said while we all work crazy hours. -This company is scary, sad, toxic and does not seem to have any intention of changing. Leadership isn't capable even if they finally listened and understood their flaws.

We read this feedback in full and respectfully disagree with a number of the characterizations made here. At the same time, we recognize the seriousness of concerns related to leadership, communication, and workplace culture, and we do not dismiss the fact your experience clearly left a strong negative impression. At TimelyCare, employee concerns are reviewed through established HR processes designed to ensure concerns are assessed thoughtfully and addressed appropriately. We recognize TimelyCare has grown quickly to meet the evolving needs of students and campus partners, and growth at that pace creates opportunities to strengthen our communication and alignment. That does not mean concerns should be dismissed or ignored. We continue to evaluate our leadership practices, accountability across teams, and invest in clearer systems, stronger manager support, and more consistent ways of working. The people who work at TimelyCare care deeply about our mission and about supporting students. Maintaining an environment where employees feel respected, heard, and able to contribute meaningfully is important to us. We know there is always more work to do to strengthen culture and trust as we grow, and that remains an ongoing focus for the organization.

Pros

Talented, hardworking, and collaborative team members who are supportive of one another and committed to doing strong work. Being fully remote allows for flexibility.

Cons

Leadership is primarily focused on profit and appearances, not people. Employees are not respected—priorities constantly shift and there is little regard for employees’ time or workload. The organization lacks alignment. Teams are siloed. It is unnecessarily difficult to get work done. Feedback is ignored. Transparency is minimal. People are let go or reassigned with little to no communication, which creates a culture of uncertainty and distrust. Favoritism is noticeable and impacts how employees are treated and evaluated. Workloads increase with no additional resources. Expectations are unclear and change frequently. Customers are moved between service levels and changes are made that negatively impact them without proper communication, leaving frontline employees to fix the confusion and frustration without support. Leadership talks about trust but does not demonstrate it. There is a clear disconnect between what is said and what actually happens. Overall, the environment is chaotic, disorganized, and reactive. It feels like there is no real plan, and employees are left to figure things out on their own. This is not a stable or supportive place to work.

Our people are a core strength of TimelyCare, and the work they do matters and is very much appreciated. We are committed to creating an environment where employees feel supported, respected, and able to do their best work. We are listening to feedback and building more structured, scalable ways of working so that navigating a fast-paced environment is more clear, consistent, and effective. Financial health is necessary to carry out our important work. Our mission to foster student success and improve the health and well-being of campus communities requires strong alignment, accountability, and trust in how we operate day to day, and we are continuing to invest in our people and leaders to strengthen that experience across the organization.
