Pros
- The interview process was smooth if not a little unorthodox. I had a face-to-face interview prior to having a phone interview. - The client site is close to my home so the commute is fairly easy. - The benefits are good for a small/medium sized company. 4% matching 401k, 4-8% annual bonus, unlimited PTO. - The managers I have worked with have been helpful in answering questions and my co-workers have all been approachable and friendly. - The company laptop I was given to use was a late 2017 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. - The site I am working at has a weekly "party" of sorts where free food and non-alcholic drinks are served. - Tin Roof hosts monthly "Hacky Hours" and "Game Nights" which are a blast to attend.
Cons
- The on-boarding experience took about a week; receiving badges and access to services within the network was challenging. - The site I am working at does not allow for any remote days, so if you can't make it into the office for whatever reason, you must take a paid day off. - There is a big push to make sure all your hours are "billable" hours, as non-billable work is frowned upon.
