Beware of starting at this company. They fire high performing employees without notice. And refuse to pay what is owed. - Onboarding Consultant I Toast Inc Employee Review

Pros

Only Pros is that it’s fully remote. And unlimited PTO.

Cons

Very high stress Next level entitlement from the customers. They pay does not match the work and hours you have to put in to be successful. You feel like you could have an assistant and still be behind on work. No matter how highly you perform they will fire you for “performance”. They refuse to pay you your bonus and money you earned after you’re fired. They also scam customers, for example, charging for an Onsite day or for certain add on modules but if they opt out of that, they still charge them. The company has no integrity, meanwhile, it’s one of their “core values”. They claim to care about Mental Health, but then do absolutely nothing to help accommodate the ones in need. You are disposable. Your manager will act like they care, then turn around and backstab you, and will make it seem like you’re doing great, but then you’ll get fired for performance as a top performer on the team.

Pros

-Strong pay (if you hit your numbers) -Ambitious goals that challenge you -Competitive landscape that will force you to get better beyond exclusively selling -Founders still very involved and very visible to the company and employees -Team cultures are always strong -For sales, you always get in touch with prospects, which is an underrated pro -When leadership promotes internal mobility and career development they mean it and support it

Cons

-Numerous Sales teams that share the same markets/TAMs. Customers and prospects get exhausted of outreach - Since going public, the goal posts keep moving forward even if 60% of the org hit goal. -A number of core leaders have left, new ones still learning the ropes which was hindering the orgs and teams
