-Crazy amount of meetings (20+ hours/week) to result in no decisions/progress. More often than not, there are times when you have 3-4 hours of back to back to back meetings and no time to take a dump or do actual work. Then if you are in an org that needs to interface with overseas teams, expect meetings at night from 8pm-10pm. This means no down time to watch TV, go out for date nights, putting your kid to sleep. I would not recommend to join such a team unless you are single or just really don’t like your family.
-general disorganization where you need to monitor random channels with hundreds of people who shoot out random questions into the void. Requirements and design decisions change on a whim.
-decisions by committee where everyone can provide different opinions and no one is there to make a final consensus.
