Pros
- The people. Everyone in every department is willing to help you out and are good collaborators. - WFH + In office. No strict RTO mandate like many places, good hybrid schedule, and a pretty awesome new office - Compensation. Compared to most tech companies in Chicago, the pay is pretty good here and you get RSUs that are worth real money
Cons
- Leadership team has no idea what they are doing. Since the beginning of the year it's been a roller coaster trying to structure process and goals, but haven't really moved the needle - Focus a little on too many things. This isn't a massive team and we should focus on the big bets that help grow the business - Layoffs. This is something in every company now, but it stinks to see people get laid off. However, this gets the company on a path to profitability which is important - Tough market to gain share in. Resy is backed by Amex who can charge way less than us and they have better brand perception. Opentable is backed by booking and they have alot of money too.
