Pros
Great people (non-management), good benefits, generous "early release day before holiday" hours, great employee parties, complimentary drinks, bonuses for select few
Cons
Old-fashioned mindset - no part-time or work from home (except IT) option, all-male executive management (with sometimes one token female exec), inconsistent management approach (a few favorites get exceptions to the rules). I had been there 8 years as a loyal, diligent employee making my supervisor look really good. Not once was I recognized for this work with a promotion or improved job title (I did fight for a bonus at the very end which they did not honor when I left one day prior to payout even though I was employeed for the entire bonus year). When I finally decided to leave and mentioned this at my exit interview with HR, I was told "you should just be happy you wake up everday to get to work with the executives. Most people can't say that." Seeing that these executives were all- male that seemed like a very sexist comment and I was very disappointed at this viewpoint. There has been a mass exodus at this company recently and I'm not the least bit surprised.
