Pros

A great manager, program director and human resources director that are approachable with type B personalities. You'll recognize straight from the interview process that they're approachable, friendly and flexible and care about their staff and their needs. This is an amazing quality to be identified for today's leadership.

Cons

First, the company wants to avoid overtime. Therefore, you'll never work an 8-hour day or more than 30 hours in a week. Although you're still eligible for benefits this week - the insurance package offered by this company is expensive: 162/month which can't really be afforded at a base rate of pay of 18/hour considering California's tax assessment. Plus it's a major disappointment that your company's health benefit package is more expensive than something provided by the state/federal government and that you're eligible to take on such a benefit even though you're working "full-time" with your salary because it's below poverty level and you won't even pay 40/month that way and the cost for all your medical visits through that plan will be less. In other words: by working here, the company isn't taking care of its employees and their health.
