Pros
Coworkers and supervisor were great to work with and had so much fun with them. The training was great and there was room for advancement if you wanted it. Leadership did a great job with cleaning up processes and requests. I learned valuable customer service and critical thinking skills and I made great friends there. I also thought the pay was fair at the time.
Cons
This part is not the company's fault, but it was a major con at the time and why I left. The previous company we took over underwriting services from had several underwriting requests that were not processed that caused a major backlog. What drove me away was the calls I received from some insurance agents. While many calls were pleasant, some bad apples were overwhelming. Those calls I was insulted and screamed at and it eventually became too much. Regarding the backlog itself: Until were all caught up and current, overtime was required. The first month or two months we were required to work 10 hours; then it was down to 5 months shortly after (I am unsure how long they continued this after I left). If you met those hours, you could either stop or work as many hours overtime as you wanted without limits (this part I took advantage of and had some nice pay days).
