Pros

Lending my perspective, TQL is a great spot to be, especially in Denver, where I've worked for 3 years as an account executive in this fast paced and dynamic industry of logistics. Initially, as a college business grad, I knew I wanted to work in sales, and stumbled across TQL in my job pursuit hoping to put my education and real world know-how to the test, thinking primarily that the position would be a good fit for me and also because the job description had tremendous upside potential to make money. What I like the most about the job is the day to day challenge and reward of managing large companies intricate supply chain's by supplying them with trucks to move their products. Getting to the fun part of the job took me about a year from when I started, but the hard work is well worth it.

Cons

This job requires a lot of time and phone calls to get your foot in the door with some companies when building your book of business, which can be a turn off for newer employees because you'll hear "No" a lot when prospecting. The overall marketplace for what you do at TQL is highly competitive and saturated with other companies that offer similar services to prospective clients, so its all about knowing where to look for opportunity, when to look, and what to offer when that time is optimal for closing clients. Most people fail at understanding the underlying foundations of this idea, which is supply and demand.

Pros

Money, Reward, Work-ethic, Culture, Friends This job is like farming. Every day you come in early, sow the seeds, water the grounds, and care for the farm until the sun sets. Then you wake up and do it again. You don't entirely control whether the crops grow - you're dependent on the sun and environment. However, you do control whether the crops die - if you refuse to water and to wake up early to nurture it. If you can sharpen your work ethic to optimize your work inputs (calls, conversations, leads, education, preparation), then you can make a reasonable bet that you will reap abundance just like the farmer makes the same bet. This was my chance to replace 3 jobs and finally have the opportunity to be paid according to my work ethic. And it is just that - it's not a job, not job security, it's not perfect, but it's an opportunity to change your life and make a lot of money and to be paid according to your work ethic. I've never seen more money than I have while working here. There are certainly some struggles, difficulties, and challenges, but it's nothing different than you'd find in other intense, high-reward, high-risk sales jobs.

Cons

Stress, Goals, Work Life Balance
