Pros

I honestly don’t have one nice thing to say about this sweat shop. It was the worst place I ever worked.

Cons

It’s awful. Seriously. Stay away. There’s a few reps that have been here for years and get fed leads and accounts. You’ll be able to pick them out within a couple weeks. The managers are awful. They only help their favorites. They’re all super young and have no idea what they’re doing. FYI if you got promoted because you were great at closing leads that were handed to you by the boss you were probably blowing, you probably don’t know how to lead a team to success. Townsquare’s major problem is they think they signing up as many people as possible will grow them. No, keeping your current employees will help you grow. You lose time constantly having to hire and train new people. Townsquare has been talking about growing for years. Yet I’m pretty sure they haven’t grown that much. Nothing exciting. Nothing extraordinary. They win best places to work every year because they force their favorites to fill out surveys. Also if you read all the reviews on this site all the “good” ones were posted on the same exact day and say the same stuff. Hmm coincidence? I think not. Isn’t that illegal? Just stay away from here unless you’re absolutely desperate because they will hire anyone. Trust me. Then get what you need and run as fast as you can.

We're sorry to hear that this was your experience at Townsquare Interactive. Our environment certainly isn't a "sweat shop" and we are proud to help young leaders develop their careers and find their own management style. We do provide extensive training to our new hires, and continue to develop and train our employees to give them the tools to excel, and have never felt this was a loss of our time. To your point about our growth, we've just celebrated our fifth anniversary in business and share our company health metrics in full transparency to our employees. We've gone from 30 employees to over 300, having helped thousands of small business owners since 2012. Our survey for Best Places to Work goes to each and every employee in our organization and it is their choice to participate in the survey. Again, we're sorry that you had a less than pleasant experience with our organization.

Pros

If you can sell you can work here for about 7 or 8 months. If you don’t have a soul, you could see yourself here maybe 7 or 8 years. Some people go for 14 only to be spat out in an instant. I would only recommend it to those looking for a trial by fire in sales. If you end up working here just make sure you stay for a good time not a long time. It’s great if you wanna meet people after moving to Charlotte.

Cons

You know I go back in forth with these guys. I worked here in 2021 and 22 and only made it about 8 months. I did well there. Hit my quota consistently, even exceeded it. Was one of the best reps on my team, quickly. But after not too long I started to notice that the product wasn’t aligning to how I was trained. We were being told by sales trainers and managers one thing, when another was actually the case. Personally I had a big problem with that. I realized that what I was being paid to promote was a complete lie and that I was potentially taking advantage of small businesses. It got harder and harder the longer I stayed and eventually I found something a lot better. And then soon after leaving I posted this scathing review on here that I later took down because I thought hey maybe it’ll get better right? Well today I saw that their head of sales is all of a sudden leaving the company. And over the years I’ve watched as countless top reps, managers, and executives have all come and gone. Then you look at all these reviews over the years and they’re all the same. Nothings changed since I’ve been there it seems besides the people who speak the lies. The theme never changes and the people there the longest are the worst kind of people. People who are more than happy to take money from people who barely have any at all for something that will never work. If you’re that kind of person then get ready for an exciting next decade.
