Pros

There is a gym on campus as well as a cafeteria- the food is pretty good. Summer Fridays (but you have to make up the 40 hours elsewhere during the week), friendly people, good starting salary, good parking. If you like a true corporate environment, not like a small business at all, then this place is for you.

Cons

Toys R Us mandates an hour lunch, so you end up being at work for 45 hours a week. It would be much better if a fifteen min to half hour lunch was allowed and then employees could leave 45 min earlier and tend to family etc. Toys R Us is corporate to the core with a lot of set rules and a rigid hierarchy. Most people move around laterally for years before moving up and its seems as though some people are swamped with work while others have nothing to do. People don't seem happy in general and my part of the office is dead silent during the day and it can be depressing. Besides that, there is not a lot of time off.

Pros

Best job ever, I was able to play with toys all the time. I usually stayed late to open boxes, and play, then I put them back in boxes like nothing happened and then go home, my wife always thought I was cheating because I was late, sometimes 3AM, but I just can't stop playing with toys, it was awesome.

Cons

My wife didn't like my job. She hated when I was late.
