Pros
Employee discount on toys for relatives. First person to potentially grab up the 50% baby wipes. And discounted baby food.
Cons
I'm not sure if it's specific to the store I worked at, however, working here was awful. They schedule for 30 minutes less than the hours needed to get a lunch for that shift. This makes no sense as the 30 minute lunch is unpaid so how are they losing money by allowing people to sit and eat? As a cashier, you were they only one cashiering for the entire store. If you get a line you have to call for help. They dont give you any breaks unless you specifically ask for it. This means standing alone at the front of the store for 6.5 hours then going home. The a/c literally above your head stays blasting well into winter which results in a VERY cold cashier. Pushing the sale of a credit card that you know will only damage someone's debt is EXTREMELY MEDIATORY. The higher the sales of credit cards are the better the manager looks to the district manager, and the better the district manager looks to their boss. So basically, the way the store looks to the higher ups in the company in regards to credit cards is solely your responsibility. This also means that while you are working the floor you will be required to push credit card sales. Customers with carts full of toys will get to the register, have thief debit card delined, make an excuse to go to their car, and leave the premises. Resulting in carts full of toys to restock. The same children's songs play on repeat until you can't stand them.
