Pros
I was employed for almost 2 years as the customer support manager. It was wonderful to work remote and to work directly with clients.
Cons
My entire time with TNS, I was left to fend for myself. I had absolutely no leadership, mentorship, support, etc. I had a direct manager, but he ignored me constantly and concentrated on his other team (client success). He consistently canceled our 1:1 meetings, never provided any feedback as to my performance (being positive or negative). At one point, I conversed with the HR manager about my concerns and desperately sought out some assistance as my team was struggling with the assigned workload. She also brushed me to the side and said "things will get better". They continued pushing clients through onboarding who were not trained appropriately on the software so an insane amount of tickets were coming in and my team couldn't keep up. I fought hard for training opportunities, ticket assistance, and even some shred of leadership. None was ever provided. One day without grounds or warnings, I was terminated. For a company that brags about putting their people first, it was a complete blow and was extremely unexpected. The COO only cares about his bottom line and it doesn't matter to him whether or not his employees have what they need to succeed. His need to belittle and point fingers was horrid; needless to say it was an extremely toxic work environment. My last day, HR advised that they would call me to provide an exit interview and more details, but that was a lie. It's been a year since I left and although I miss my team and clients, I look back and realize just how awful my workday was everyday and I'm thankful that I'm no longer in that situation. If you're looking for employment in the hospitality industry, steer clear of TNS.
