Pros

Good amount of hours for Part Time Crew Members. Changing work areas by segment keeps you interested & (mostly) fresh at each task (i.e. stocking, register, helmsing, etc.) TJ's employees the most friendly & fun people so you & your coworkers have fun while doing a great job. Customers love the brand, the product & the customer service they have come to expect which is bar none, so if you don't like enteracting with people all day or don't like "needy" customers (those that expect you to go above & beyond) do not bother applying you will not enjoy the work.

Cons

While having carefully scheduled segments does allow you to change up your work & generally keeps you from becoming burned out at a task, it also requires all employees & management to have impeccable time management. If you are five minutes late to a register, the person covering that register is 6 minutes late to lunch or stock, and since every employee may be changing tasks at every hour it can throw off the efficiency of the entire team tremendously. This makes things suprisingly inflexible for such a "laid back" company & if you are more than 5 min. Late clocking in to work you will be on the path to write ups, poor reviews resulting in missed raises (normally $0.75/ every 6 month review) and I saw a LOT of great smart workers let go because of it.

Pros

-Great way to meet people, socialize, and learn customer service -Always tasked with different things every hour -Friendly crew who will always help you to learn and get better at your job -Get a slight pay raise every 6 months -No outside commitments and amazing benefits if you work full time (about 28 hours a week for every 6 months) -Will take time, but find your friend group, stay with them and have fun, you can't please everybody -Care for your body, do not overdo it with physical labor, its a retail job and you only have one fragile body for yourself, get help or insist about your pains

Cons

-Not many, unless you are stuck in a bad store with bad management -I had some good luck of working in 3 great stores, so YMMV -Sometimes can get cliquey like you are back in high school -Getting promoted up to store management may involve buttering up and being a "yes-person" -Care for your body, do not overdo it with physical labor, its a retail job and you only have one fragile body for yourself, get help or insist about your pains
