Management lacked leadership skills and was blind to qualitative aspects of performance. Operational support and resources were limited, and I often found myself trying to resolve an operational issue where the solution from my team lead was incorrect, my manager was out of the office, and no nother resources were available. This cut into my production time significantly. The expectation is to fly blind until you figure it out for yourself. For experienced reps, this is management by spreadsheet by people with limited management experience. The product offering is also limited.
